How to read literature like a professor #2

The way in which he says that everyhing has a meaning much profound than what the actual word stands for. Vampires was a great example that he used. When I think of vampires I instantly think of a handsome bloodsucker. Evil. Evil. Evil. The way in which most writers use it is to symbolize many things; selfishness, exploitation and sex. Sex because the vampire uses his witty and charm to seduce the unmarried woman. I've never thought of vMpires in such dept, the way in which he broke down a message is simply genius! I'm so excited to read on!
