How to read Literature like a professor #1

I should have started this a while ago but better late than never. So as i started reading the introduction of this book i was confused by the way he was saying that we all can read the same passage but interpret it differently, but as i read on i realized that this book is simply genious because it is true we are all not the same and symbols can mean different things to us. The way in which he incorporates passages from books that are confusing and breaks them down made it so much easier to understand. Every piece of literature that is in a way troubling to understand has a meaning so profound that we tend not to notice it because it is hidden away by simple words or on the other hand ginormous words.I love how he uses simple logic to clarify what he means like using the meaning of a simple meal to mean that the family is connected and sharing a special bond together. I love this booook! It really has helped.
