Its so interesting how Achak describes the bike that he sees on Joks store. "It is easily the most spectacular object in all of Marial Bai" he then starts describing the color of it with such detail "The color of the frame.....a mixture of blue and green and white, swirled together as inn the deepest part of a river". I love how he compares the colors to the river, it makes me imagine this shiny bike. Achak says that it is the most beautiful obeject ever seen in his hometown, meaning that his home must have not had a lot of advanced technology. I love his use of imagery it makes this book that much more easy to read.
